The first session is also about you ensuring that I am the right therapist for you and you feel comfortable enough to open up to me.
During further sessions it will be your opportunity to explore your thoughts and feelings in more detail, I will gently help you to make insights and connections which will allow you to break free from barriers that might be holding you back. I will be with you every step of the way to support you through the process.
I don’t offer advice but I do play an active role in the sessions. Although you will have the freedom to direct the sessions and tell your story and find a way forward. Our work will be at a pace that feels right for you. As you move through the therapy process you will undoubtedly gain a deeper understanding of your inner thoughts and feelings.

Hello, my name is Kaye Barney and I’m a fully qualified, individual and couples’ therapist. I hold a ‘Psychology BA honours degree’ and a foundation degree in Counselling. My training was completed through ‘Relate’ and ‘Tavistock Relationships’. I am also an accredited practitioner of ‘Therapy for Depression’.
My online counselling provides support with problems such as anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. Alongside help with intrusive thoughts, bereavement, eating disorders and relationship problems. However, no problem is too big or too small if you would like to discuss it.
