How online counselling can help

The hustle and bustle of our everyday lives along with any external pressures, can throw up challenges. Which, at times we might find difficult to deal with. Perhaps you are feeling alone or are unsure where to turn or who to talk to, which is common. Talking to a professional counsellor, who is a complete stranger, unbiased and non-judegmental can help give you clarity so you are able to move forward more positively .

I will encourage you to explore any problems you may have and the feelings associated with them. You will be provided with a safe, confidential space where you will have the opportunity to talk and I will listen

My approach to online counselling

At the begnning of our first session, I will ask you what you are hoping to achieve from the therapy and also explain how I work. You will have the opportunity to ask any questions or express any concerns. Through me gaining an understanding of your goals we can establish the best way for me to support you. The first session is also about you ensuring that I am the right therapist for you and you feel comfortable enough to open up to me.

During further sessions it will be your opportunity  to explore your thoughts and feelings in more detail, I will gently help you to make insights and connections which will allow you to break free from barriers that might be holding you back.  I will be with you every step of the way to support you through the process.

I don’t offer advice but I do play an active role in the sessions. Although you will have the freedom to direct the sessions and tell your story and find a way forward. Our work will be at a pace that feels right for you. As you move through the therapy process you will undoubtedly gain a deeper understanding of your inner thoughts and feelings.

This clarity and insight can pave the way towards personal problem solving, leading to significant and lasting change. Overall, I will take an active role in assisting you make the changes in your life that positively benefit you.
